A Mother's love
A MOTHER’S LOVE
As I stand here today and look at all of you, I see the many lives that my mother has touched.
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write…. to find just the right words to say today.
Words that will speak of my mother’s life, and hopefully reflect some of the wisdom she tired to hand down to me.
My mother had many layers.
There was MOM
The matriarch of the family….
The glue that kept this family together.
The WIFE
My father’s best friend
and soul mate….. the love of his life.
The FRIEND
The faithful, trustworthy friend
that you could tell all your deepest secrets to.
The EMPLOYEE
Who was dedicated to all she worked for and with.
You put them all together and that is what made up the person I could only hope to become one day.
My mother always pushed me to become a better person, to not stop trying until I hit a wall, and then to find a way around that wall.
She taught me to color outside the lines and to think outside the box.
Mom was not always serious….. she did have a humerous side to her too…. Sometimes she would call me out of the blue to tell me a joke that someone at work just told her…. And laugh so hard that she couldn’t finish telling me the joke.
Mom was also the grand mother that drove me nuts…… She doted on all of her grand children.
She passed on her love of reading and art.
I am only sorry that my children, who are still so young, will not be able to benefit from her wisdom anymore.
I believe my mother’s legacy will be this….
To each of you that she touched in life
and to those of you who knew her best
Each time you see a child smile.
Remember my mother
Each time you see a child reading a book… Remember my mother
Each time you hug a friend….
Remember the hugs she gave you
Each time you see an angel ….
Remember she will always be in your heart.
Each time you see a rainbow….
Remember her smile
Each time you feel the warmth
of the sun upon your face….
Remember the warmth of my mothers love.
AND NEVER FORGET…..
Each time you feel the presence of the LORD…..
Know that my mother is in heaven.
